FRANCIS, The Miracle Pup Birthday Celebration
One year later and FRANCIS, The Miracle Pup is celebrating his one year birthday this weekend at the CARA Community Animal Rescue & Adoption.
You may remember that FRANCIS was giving round-the-clock care after being rescued by a metro area man. FRANCIS remained in a coma for four days after being rescued and brought to the shelter. Out pouring love and personal affection from CARA brought FRANCIS back to life. CARA actually named him FRANCIS, after Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
At today's birthday celebration party favors were given out along with hot dogs and Coca Cola. Denise Cantrell spokesperson for CARA, says "CARA is a non-profit no-kill animal rescue group that cares for hundreds of abused, unwanted and stray animals." She reflects on the four-legged walking miracle.
FRANCIS now has a new owner Harriet Scott, Scott says FRANCIS is well-liked by children and other animals.
Thomas the man who rescued FRANCIS was also at the birthday party, he along with others are amazed by the progress of this young livey animal.
Animal lovers donated money and food to the event.
Also, we found the mom and her 13 young pups who were left in a dumpster in Jackson. The mom and pups are still waiting on you to adopt them and take them home forever.
